We were at a play-date for my son and I had no idea I was about to be introduced into my newest and coolest passion. We were all hanging out when my son’s best friend’s dad said, “Hey, come check out my 3D Printer in the garage”. I had seen 3D printers online, but this was the first time seeing it in person and I was immediately fascinated.

I wanted to know all about the materials it could print, temperatures, speed, movement, tweaks to make, literally everything. We talked about what printers are best for first-timers, for tinkerers, etc. I settled on an Ender 3 Neo and then quickly added an Anycubic Resin printer and then a BambuLabs A1 Mini.

My 6 year old son became very interested in printing when the BambuLabs A1 showed up and commandeered the A1 Mini as his own. He's printed quite a collection of sharks, kit-cards, scenery and dragons - really anything he can.

Now, 5 printers later and a kinda organized cabinet full of filament and resin, I've decided to start a business to share the joy of our 3D prints. This has become a full family endeavor - as we decide on what to print, who gets to print what, and all the fun color choices. My wife has agreed to help with taking photos, business plan and “doing the numbers.” We're excited to collaborate with the Grandmas at local craft fairs.
